Maria Liapina

Maria Liapina is the Senior Director of Accounting, overseeing controllership, financial planning and analysis, treasury operations, and tax. Maria has led the establishment of the accounting back office, including the recruitment and development of the accounting team, and implementation of the accounting systems, processes and internal controls for the manufacturing division. Prior to joining Modern Living Solutions in September of 2022, Maria led the HQ Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting team that prepared SEC-like consolidated reports for the Greystar global enterprise and provided advisory support to the global controllership and the Office of the CFO. Maria started her career with Deloitte Assurance practice and joined PwC Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory practice after the graduate school.  While at PwC, Maria supported her clients through transformational events, such as IPO’s, divestitures, acquisitions and capital raising transactions. Prior to joining Greystar, Maria was a Corporate Controller of a $2 billion drilling division of Weatherford International, an oilfield services conglomerate. Maria received an MBA from Kellogg School of Management in Chicago, IL and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin. Maria is an active Certified Public Accountant.
